Create a New Rule Override 

You can create overrides for the various types of rules.  From the Global Rules Explorer, you can create new global business rules for each of the rule categories.  Right-click on a rule’s folder and select New Global Rule for category to open a wizard window, which will step you through the creation process.  Once the rule is created, you will need to configure it.

You can also create new business rule overrides from the Main Explorer.  Right-click on the business rule node and select New Business Rule.  A wizard will open, which will step you through the creation process.

Depending on the type of rule you are overriding the wizard will have different pre-populated options and selections.

IMPORTANT:  Once you create a new business rule, you must assign security to it or it will not be visible in the OIPA application.
