The Manage Term tab allows for the management of fields and math variables. You can create a new term or edit existing ones.
Steps to Create a New Field or Math Variable Term
Open the Data Dictionary by selecting the book icon from the Tool bar.
Select the Manage Term tab.
Enter the term name in the Term Name box (this will be the name that will be reflected in the configuration as the field or math variable name).
Select the data type from the Term Type drop-down box.
Highlight all categories that apply and select the arrow button. The categories will move over to the Selected Term Category box.
Enter a description in the description box.
Select the Create button.
Note: Once a term has been created, the Create button turns into the Update button for editing purposes.
Steps to Update a Field or Math Variable Term
Search for the term.
Highlight the term in Return Results.
Select the Edit button, which toggles to the Manage Tab.
Make necessary changes.
Select the Update button.
Manage Categories
The Create New Category tab allows you to create and edit categories that can be associated with your field and math variable terms.
Steps to Create a New Category
Select New Category from the Category drop-down box.
Enter the name in the Category Name text box.
Enter a description.
Select the Create button.
Steps to Edit a Category
Select the category from the Category drop-down box.
Edit the name or description.
Select the Update
button.
