Deploy Release Package

Once the configuration package has been created, added to a migration set, put in a release package, built and promoted then you are ready to deploy the release package.

 

Steps to Deploy the Release Package

  1. Log-out of the source environment and log-in to the target environment.

 

Note:  If you do not see the Release Management folder in the Admin Explorer tab, then check your asenv.properties file and make sure the target environment property is set to ivs.release_management.entry_env=false.

 

  1. Navigate to Admin Explorer and open the Release Management folder.

  2. Open the Release Package folder and right-click on the release package you want to deploy.

  3. Select Deploy Package.

 

Once the release package has been added to the target environment, the release package will still be visible under the Release Package node, but you will not be able to perform any actions on the package.  The right-click menu will no longer appear.
