Oracle® Rules Palette Release 9.1.0.0.0 E15811-01 |
Activities are business events that are applied to a policy. In OIPA, activity processing has two main components, which are instrumental in tracking and understanding what and how activity records apply to a policy. These two components are activity type and activity status.
Activity Type
Activity type describes how the activity was processed. Activity processing is done on the Activity screen in OIPA. Some activity processing can be performed on other screens, but for the most part the Activity screen houses the activity processing functionality.
Activities can be processed in two different ways. You can process activities manually or the system can generate an activity because of a reversal, a deletion or the processing of a dependent activity.
Activity Status
The status of the activity can be active, pending, shadowed, and several variations of pending. The status of an activity will determine how and if it can be processed.
