Installing Workshop into an Existing WebLogic Server / Weblogic Portal Installation

Options for Installing Workshop 10.2

Workshop and WebLogic Portal users have the following choices for installing Workshop 10.2.

• Workshop 10.0 users can use options 1, 2, or 3 below.
• Workshop 10.1 users can use options 2 or 3 below.
• Users who already have WebLogic Portal 10.0 installed and are trying to install WebLogic Portal 10.2, can only use option 3 below.

1. Install Workshop 10.2 into an existing BEA_HOME where WebLogic Server 10.0 GA is already present:
   • First, run the WebLogic Server 10.0 MP1 upgrade installer or Smart Update to upgrade WebLogic Server 10.0 GA to WebLogic Server 10.0 MP1 in that BEA_HOME.
   • Then run the Workshop 10.2 standard installer to install Workshop 10.2 and/or WebLogic Portal 10.2 into that BEA_HOME.
2. Install Workshop 10.2 into an existing BEA_HOME where WebLogic Server other than 10.0 GA present:
   • Run the Workshop 10.2 standard installer to install Workshop 10.2 and/or WebLogic Portal 10.2 into that BEA_HOME.
3. Install Workshop 10.2 into a new BEA_HOME
   • Run the Workshop 10.2 standard installer to install Workshop 10.2 and/or WebLogic Portal 10.2 into a new BEA_HOME
