Master Data Type Details

This page shows the name, ID, description, and master data attributes for a master data type. The fields are initially blank when you create a new master data type.
Note: To edit the value of an attribute in the Attributes table, click in the cell. An edit field opens so you can make your changes. Press Enter when finished with each cell.
Configuration Options
Name Description Type Name A short descriptive name for the master data type, for example "Business Location."
ID The ID of the master data type, specified as a valid URI, for example,
urn:epcglobal:epcis:vtype:BusinessLocation.Description A short description of the master data type.
Display Order The order in which the attributes are listed for master data entries based on this master data type. You can change the order using the buttons above and below the Attributes table.
Name The name of the attribute, for example "Business Location City." When you create master data entries based on this master data type, you will provide values for these attributes. For example the value for "Business Location City" could be "Bangalore."
Note: The first attribute in this Attributes list is used as the name of the master data type.
ID The ID of the attribute, specified as a valid URI, for example,
urn:epcglobal:epcis:vtype:BusinessLocation.Description A short description of this attribute.
Buttons
Name Description Save Saves master data type defined on this page.
Cancel Cancels the master data type defined on this page and returns to the previous page.
New Creates a new attribute type with a default name, ID, and description. You can select any of those value to edit them.
Delete Deletes selected attribute types.
Move to First Moves selected attributes to the beginning of the display order. When multiple attributes are selected, they retain their positions relative to one another and are moved as a block to the beginning of the display order.
Move Up Moves selected attributes up one position in the display order. You cannot move the first attribute in the list up. That is, it will not cycle down to the last position in the list. When multiple attributes are selected, each one moves up one position relative to its original position. Nonadjacent items remain nonadjacent.
Move Down Moves selected attributes down one position in the display order. You cannot move the last attribute in the list down. That is, it will not cycle up to the first position in the list. When multiple, nonadjacent attributes are selected, each one moves down one position. That is, the selected items are not grouped and then moved as a block of adjacent attributes..
Move to Last Moves selected attributes to the end of the display order. When multiple attributes are selected, all are moved to the end of the display order.
