Working with General Tag Administration

The General page of the Tags tab allows you to create, restrict, and delete tags.

Click Save to keep any changes that you have made. If you have made changes but have not yet clicked Save, you can click Cancel to restore the previously-saved settings.

Common Actions

This table exists in the Tags area of the page. For details, see Tags Table.

This table appears in the Associations area of the page. For details, see Tag Details.

Tags Table

Following is a description of each column in the Tags table of the General page.

Column

Description

Select

Select the check box next to the name of the tag that you want to delete or restrict.

Tag Name

Displays the name of the tag. Click to display the Tag Details table, which includes information about each instance of the tag.

People Using

Displays the total number of people who have applied the tag.

Items

Displays the total number of items that the tag is applied to.

People Applied To

Displays the total number of people that the tag is applied to.

Restricted

Indicates whether the tag is restricted or not. If a tag is restricted, future attempts by any user to create the tag will fail.

Note: If you restrict a tag that has already been created, you must delete the tag to remove all of the tag's previously-applied instances from the system.

Date Created

Displays the date and time when the tag was originally created.

Date Last Applied

Displays the date and time when the tag was most recently applied to an item or person.

Tag Details

Following is a description of each column in the Tag Details table of the General page. This table includes information about each instance of a specific tag. Display this table for a specific tag by clicking the desired tag name in the Tags table.

Name

Displays the name of the item or person that the tag is applied to.

Type

Displays the type of tag: document or person.

Note: In this column, a document is actually an item as defined by Pathways.

Tagged By

Displays the name of the person who applied the tag.

Tag Date

Displays the date when the person applied the tag.
