The following system configuration parameters have been added to enhance the BEA Connect TCP for IMS product.
IDLE TIMEOUT and CHKPFREQ Parameters for IMS
Refer to the "Configuring BEA Connect TCP for IMS" chapter in the BEA Connect TCP for IMS User Guide for more information about these parameters.
The BEA Connect TCP 2.1 product includes the rolling patches from BEA Connect TCP 2.0.
Review the following sections before installing the BEA Connect TCP product.
In member BEATCPC.DIST.JCL(MAKL2), a return code of 04 from steps PLKED and LKED is acceptable.
If you are running Interlink TCPaccess, review Step 14 of the "Installing BEA Connect TCP for CICS" chapter in the BEA Connect TCP for CICS User Guide for configuration information. A sample entry for the configuration file for Interlink is located in The Connect TCP release includes online documentation that you can view using an HTML browser. Netscape Navigator 2.02 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or later are recommended. You can install the HTML files on your server or client, or leave them on the CD-ROM.
To view the documentation, you need a Web browser that supports HTML 3.0 features including tables and frames. When you install the HTML files, they will be located in a directory on your system. You should keep the HTML files that are contained within a directory together. However, you can move that directory to any location.
To begin viewing the online documentation, you should open the following HTML file first where The following figure shows an example of the online documentation with the clickable table of contents.
Note:
The online documentation requires browser-supported HTML 3.0 including tables and frames capability.
You can print a hardcopy version of this document, one file at a time, from the Web browser.
