Resolve User Names

You use the Resolve User Names window to perform Step 2 of the three steps necessary to import a Microsoft project file into a new task list. The three steps are:

• Step 1: Import Microsoft Project file

• Step 2: Resolve User Names

• Step 3: Define the new task list's properties

The Resolve User Names window lets you map the Microsoft project's resource names to Collaboration users. Initially, Collaboration attempts to match each resource name to one or more Collaboration users.

The following matching results may occur:

• If Collaboration finds an exact match, the matched Collaboration Project Member name appears to the right of the resource name.

• If Collaboration finds multiple matches, a drop-down list appears to the right of the resource name that contains all of the matches. If you do not agree with the first match in the drop-down list, click the drop-down list to select another match.

• If Collaboration is unable to find a match, Collaboration does not display a user name to the right of the resource name.
