Storing Personal Documents on the Portal

To store a personal document on the portal, you upload the document to your personal project.

Uploading a Single File to Your Personal Project

To upload a single file:

  1. In the My Projects portlet, click My Project.

  2. Click the Documents tab in the application view.

  3. Click Upload.
    The Upload dialog box appears.

  4. From the Language drop-down list, select the language of the file content.
    You can specify a language that is different than the language of your project. Collaboration uses the language information when indexing your file for searching.

  5. Click Browse.
    The Choose File dialog box appears.

  6. Navigate to the file that you want to upload, then click Open.
    You are returned to the Upload dialog box.

  7. Click Upload.

  8. Click Close.

Uploading Multiple Files or Folders to your Personal Project

You must have the Bulk Upload to Collaboration activity right to upload multiple files.

Note: Before performing this procedure, make sure all of the files or folders that you want to upload exist either in the same directory, or on the desktop of your personal computer.

To upload multiple files or folders:

  1. From the Documents application view page of your personal project, click in the  Upload button, and select Multiple Files from the menu.
    The Upload dialog box appears.

  1. From the Language drop-down list, select the language of the file content.

  2. Click Browse.
    The Select Files and Folders to Upload dialog box appears. Navigate to the files or folders that you want to upload.

  3. Press the CTRL key and click the mouse to select each file or folder that you want to upload.

  4. Click Select.
    You are returned to the Upload dialog box.

  5. Click Upload.
    A confirmation dialog box appears.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Click Close.
