- Plumtree Publisher 6.2 is also affected but has a different resolution. Please

Issues Addressed
- In multiple products, headers greater than 4KB in size result in requests being truncated, which can negatively impact the functionality of affected products. Headers may exceed 4KB due to large portlet preferences passed by the portal, third party headers, SSO tokens, or other causes. Unexpected error messages may be returned by the portal as a result. (Issue #48757)
Post-Release Updates
- Plumtree Logging Utilties daemon may not restart after installation of Common Components Container 1.5 HF208996. (Issue #50560)
Workaround: This hotfix stops all Plumtree services residing on a server in order to complete the installation process. It then automatically starts all services residing on that server. Please ensure that the all of the services have been properly restarted.
- Common Components Container 1.5 HF208996 deployment log is in an unusual location. (Issue #50562)
Workaround: The deployment log is located at $PT_HOME/uninstall/ptportal/6.0/register/hotfix1_deployment.log (Unix and Linux) and %PT_HOME%\uninstall\ptportal\6.0\register\hotfix1_deployment.log (Windows).
It is recommended that this service pack be applied to all Plumtree Studio 2.1
servers.

|
-
Plumtree Studio 2.1 supports Red Hat Linux.
-
Plumtree Studio 2.1 is compatible with Plumtree Foundation 6.0. Note: You must
upgrade your portal deployment to Plumtree Foundation 6.0 to upgrade to
Plumtree Studio 2.1.
-
Plumtree Studio 2.1 no longer requires a separate application server.
-
Plumtree Studio 2.1 administrators can specify whether or not Plumtree Studio
databases should be automatically deleted if all portlets associated with a
database are deleted.
-
Plumtree Studio 2.1 supports Traditional Chinese.
Issues Addressed
-
"Yes/No" columns in Studio Record Browser Portlets display "True" or "False"
instead of "Yes" or "No". (Issue #38068)
-
The Studio Calendar portlet displays the wrong day information if the 31st is
selected in a corresponding calendar month and a month with 30 days is chosen
afterwards. (Issue #39273)
-
Importing data and mapping it to data type Boolean causes entries for the
imported columns to display NULL. (Issue #40069)
-
Several Plumtree products,
including Plumtree Studio 2.1 SP1, can only handle headers less than 4KB in size
by default. However, certain configurations of the Plumtree Foundation may send
headers that are greater than 4KB in size. This could occur by the portal
passing large portlet preferences, third party headers, SSO tokens, etc. This
will result in requests being dropped by affected applications, which
could affect the functionality of that product. You may notice this as
unexpected error messages being returned by the portal. You can also detect the
size of the headers by using a TCP tracing tool such as Ethereal that can list
header sizes. (Issue #48757)
To resolve the issue, you must update the file plumtree-bootstrap.jar
on the server that is running the product. The steps are:
-
Contact support and get a newer version of plumtree-bootstrap.jar.
-
Place the file in the following folder:
-
Windows: \program
files\plumtree\common\container\tomcat\5.0.28\bin\
-
Unix: /opt/plumtree/common/container/tomcat/5.0.28/bin/
-
Restart the services for all affected products on that particular
server.
Replacing plumtree-bootstrap.jar here will update all affected products and allow headers up to 16KB in size.
-
Multi-byte characters are not displayed properly in the Reply-To Name input box
when installing Plumtree Studio. (Issue #27240)
Workaround:
After running the installer, edit the PTStudioConfig.xml file and specify the
correct Reply-To-Name value.
-
The user group name is always displayed in the locale of the user who added the
group in the Plumtree Studio portlet wizard. (Issue #44662)
-
When executing the ptstudiod.sh to start or stop the Plumtree Studio daemon, a
message appears indicating that the "Plumtree Test Service" is being started or
stopped. The message is erroneous; the Plumtree Studio service is actually
being started or stopped. (Issue #45333)
-
The Plumtree Studio installer option "Image Service Files only" installs the
folder ptstudio\2.1\sql. If the Image Service Files are installed after
Plumtree Studio has already been installed on the same machine, the scripts in
the sql folders get overwritten with scripts that do not contain user name and
password values. (Issue #47876)
Workaround: If the database has not been scripted yet, reinstall
the Studio component to recreate valid scripts.
