Describes how to install and upgrade the components of AquaLogic Interaction
Portlet Suite - Lotus Notes 3.3. |
- Plumtree Portlet Suite - Lotus Notes has been renamed to AquaLogic Interaction
Portlet Suite - Lotus Notes
- AquaLogic Interaction Portlet Suite - Lotus Notes supports Solaris 10
- If a user receives the "server not reachable" error
when using the master server configuration, the administrator should check
the mail server setting in the user's person document on the master server. (Issue
#38979)
- The Lotus Notes Portlets use "Low Bandwidth Portal"
user interface for Netscape browsers. The Lotus Notes Portlets display
a simplified user interface for Netscape browsers. (Issue #10639-1)
- Domino servers running session-based authentication
rely on the domain name. The Server Name field must contain a fully-qualified
domain name (for example NotesServer.plumtree.com) for Domino servers set up
to use Session-Based Authentication. Using a fully qualified domain name for
the Server Names "field" in the Administrative Preferences will result
in fewer configuration issues. (Issue #11159-1)
- Enabling sorting functionality will increase memory
usage on the Remote Server. The Lotus Domino Server does not provide sorting
functionality; this functionality is implemented on the Remote Server in the
Mail portlet. Enabling sorting using the "enable.sorting" property in the
../config/mail_properties.xml could cause more memory usage on the Remote
Server. (Issues #10990-1, #11026-1)
- The Lotus Notes Community Portlets only support the
"Portal Setting Authentication" User Information Settings option. The Lotus
Notes Community Portlets, Calendar, Mail and Contacts use community portlet
preferences for authentication with a Lotus Domino system. The Lotus Notes
Community Portlets should only be set up with the "Portal Setting Authentication"
option on the "User Information Settings" page of the Administrative Preferences.
(Issue #17582-1)
- Lotus Notes Portlets fail to connect to Lotus Domino Server 5.0.11 when
installed on AIX. (Issue #48465)
- When executing the ptnotesd.sh to start or stop the Plumtree Notes daemon,
a message indicating that the "Plumtree Test Service" is being started or
stopped will appear. Only the message is erroneous; the Plumtree Notes service
is actually being started or stopped. (Issue #44355)
- Image Server path to Lotus Notes Portlets JavaScripts uses the wrong case in
the directory named "strings" on Unix operating systems. (Issue #48523)
Workaround: Navigate to the Image Service @IMAGESERVER/imageserver/RemoteGadgets/groupwareui/scripts/
and change folder "strings" to "Strings".
- The Lotus Notes Portlets do not support attachment functionality in
an environment where different versions of Lotus Domino Server are used. (Issue
#39448)
- The Lotus Notes Portlets do not support contact search specifically for
groups. The current implementation support contacts search by First or Last
Name only. (Issue #39190)
- An appointment in the Lotus Notes Calendar portlet is displayed separately
under "All Day Events" tab when the "Show Time As" field is changed from "Busy"
to "Tentative". (Issue #38973)
- Appointments that span multiple days will automatically be marked as all
day appointments by Notes. (Issue #39585)
- The Lotus Notes Contacts portlet gives a non-descriptive error message
when the user tries to save an empty contact within the low bandwidth portal
UI or with Netscape. (Issue #39854)
- The Lotus Notes Mail portlet does not mark the system folder "Trash" as
unavailable when copying messages. Users cannot copy email messages to the system
folder "Trash". (Issue #39687)
- E-mail attachments are not recognized as a valid file format when the portlet
is accessed using "Low Bandwidth Portal" setting on Plumtree 4.5SP1 Hot Fix
1. (Issue #18822-1)
Workaround: To access e-mail attachments, use the
"Standard Portal" accessibility option under Portal Settings.
- Uploaded files that include Asian characters in the filename are renamed
to "File.doc" when uploaded from a Remote Server that does not run the matching
Asian language operating system. The filename of uploaded attachments that
include Asian characters in the filename will be renamed to "File.doc", when
the Lotus Notes Portlet Suite is running an operating system language that
does not match the language of the Asian characters included in the filename.
This issue is a limitation of Java 1.3x; the Asian characters included in
the filename are encoded resulting in a FileNotFoundException, and the upload
function in the Lotus Notes Portlets renames the file to "File.doc". In this
scenario only one file can be attached to the document since the attachment
filenames need to be unique. The content of the "File.doc" file can be viewed
successfully. (Issue #17758-1)
- The Lotus Notes Portlets do not allow specification of username and password
authentication for Lotus Domino servers configured to use proxy server. The
Lotus Notes Portlets provide functionality to specify a proxy server name
and port for the Lotus Domino servers on the "Server List" page of the Administrative
Preferences. The current Server List configuration does not allow specification
of username and password for the proxy server. The Lotus Notes Portlets have
not been certified against an environment where communication to the Lotus
Domino server is through a proxy server. (Issue #18383-1)
- The default date shown in the Create Appointment window is the current date.
The default date shown in the Create Appointment window is the current date,
not the date selected by the user in the Calendar. (Issue #10198-1)
- High and low priority flags are not displayed for messages in Sent and Drafts
folders. Messages can be sent with high and low priority indicators, but priority
indicators only appear for messages in the Inbox folder. This is similar to
the behavior of the Notes client. (Issue #11783-1)
- The Lotus Notes Portlets localized support does not include Chinese
in Plumtree Portal 5.0.x. (Issue #39929)
- Read and unread flags are not supported by Lotus Notes Domino Java API.
All messages in the Lotus NotesMail Portlet are displayed in bolded font and
appear unread. (Issue #11318-1)
- The Contact search relies on Lotus Notes Server database Full Text indexing.
If Lotus Notes Server database Full Text indexing is enabled, new contacts
will only be shown if they are included in the index. (Issue #11160-1)
Workaround: The indexing for most databases is hourly
or daily. To verify this, open the database in question (usually the local
mail file), select database-properties, go to the full text index tab and
look at the number of unindexed documents.
- Community portlets in Lotus Notes Portlets have "write" rights given
to the community members in Plumtree Portal 4.5WS. (Issue #39912)
- When upgrading to Lotus Notes Portlets 3.3 from version 3.2, the installer wizard page that prompts for the installation folder shows the default installation directory as c:\Program Files\plumtree instead of the correct default directory, which is c:\bea\alui. (Issue #56092) December 11, 2006
