3.2

Describes how to install and upgrade the components of AquaLogic Interaction
Portlet Suite - IMAP 3.2. |
- Plumtree Portlet Suite - Internet Mail Access Protocol (IMAP) has been renamed
to AquaLogic Interaction Portlet Suite - IMAP
- Portlet Suite for IMAP uses "Low Bandwidth
Portal" user interface for Netscape browsers. It displays a simplified user
interface for Netscape browsers. (Issue #10639)
- Mail Portlet preferences page provides an option to
specify "Drafts Folder Name" but drafts functionality is not supported
by portlet. The "Drafts Folder Name" specified on the user or community preferences
pages creates a normal folder in the user's folder directory. The IMAP Mail
Portlet and IMAP Community Mail Portlet do not support "Save as Draft" functionality.
(Issue #11510)
- IMAP Mail Portlet connection to the Cyrus IMAP server
terminates after a period of idle time. There is no server reconnection
or connection status event mechanism defined in the current IMAP Mail Portlet
architecture. If the Cyrus IMAP server is disconnected during the session,
the user has to logout and reconnect to the portlet. (Issue #22762)
- The IMAP Community Mail Portlet does not support administrative
User Information Settings options. The IMAP Community Mail Portlet uses community
portlet preferences for authentication with an IMAP-compliant mail system.
It is not affected by the User Information Settings set on the Administrative
Preferences Pages. (Issue #17582)
- IMAP Admin UI does not support Netscape and Firefox browsers. (Issues #57081 and #57110)
- When executing the ptimapd.sh to start or stop the Plumtree IMAP daemon, a message indicating that the "Plumtree Test Service" is being started or stopped will appear. Only the message is erroneous; the Plumtree IMAP service is actually being started or stopped. (Issue #44355)
- The Java application server displays an error message when attempting to read the contact-properties.xml and calendar-properties.xml files at the time that the imap.ear file is deployed. Both files do not exist for the IMAP portlet suite as it supports only the mail portlet. This message is erroneous and can be disregarded. (Issue #27002)
- Mail attachments that contain Asian characters in the filename can only be opened if the Remote (Portlet) Server runs on an operating system of the same language. When the filename of an email attachment includes Asian characters (Japanese, Chinese, or Korean), the attachment can only be opened if the Remote (Portlet) Server is running on an operating system of the same language. For example, if the mail attachment includes Japanese characters in the filename, the attachment can only be opened if the Remote (Portlet) Server is running on a Japanese operating system. (Issue #17758)
Workaround: The attachment can be saved to disk to be viewed at a later time on a compatible system.
- There is no check for valid entries for "E-mail Display Name" and "E-mail Address" on the user or community preferences page. Mail messages can be successfully sent using the IMAP Mail Portlet even when the "E-mail Address" value is incorrect. Users of the IMAP Portlet can misrepresent the sender of messages by setting erroneous values for the "E-mail Display Name" and "E-mail Address" on the user preferences page. (Issue #13352)
- The Novell GroupWise "Cabinet" and "Calendar" folders are not disabled in the Folder List pop-up window when deleting a folder. The Mail Portlet will not delete these folders if they have been selected for deletion. Note: "Calendar" is not a valid folder in Novell GroupWise. (Issue #13316)
- IMAP Mail Portlet includes Novell GroupWise's "Calendar" folder in the list of folders, but messages cannot be moved to the "Calendar" since it is not a valid folder. Messages moved to the "Calendar" folder appear to be lost. (Issue #13314)
- When upgrading to IMAP Portlets 3.2 from previous versions, the installer wizard page that prompts for the installation folder shows the default installation directory as c:\Program Files\plumtree instead of the correct default directory, which is c:\bea\alui. (Issue #56092) December 11, 2006
