These release notes cover all releases of BEA AquaLogic WSRP Consumer 1.1, including hotfixes and service packs. For information on a particular release, please go to the appropriate section of these release notes.

AquaLogic WSRP Consumer 1.1 supports the following:

Operating Systems: AIX 5.3 (on POWER3, POWER4, POWER5); HP-UX 11i V2 (on Itanium); RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 update 3 (on x86); Solaris 9, and 10 (on SPARC); SUSE Enterprise Linux 9 (on x86); Windows Server 2003 SP1 or R2, SP2 (on x86)

At the time of release, AquaLogic WSRP Consumer 1.1 supports the following:

Known Issues

WSRP Portlet window mode is not retained upon session logoff. (Issue #62682).
The AIX installer for WSRP Consumer 1.1 does not report Out Of Disk Space error correctly. The following is reported in the ALI_WSRP_Consumer_InstallLog.log installation logs: Additional Notes: NOTE - Required Disk Space: 0; Free Disk Space: 460,533,760 (Issue #23907).
The ALI Configuration Manager is not correctly installed on AIX platforms. The installer will report that serious errors occurred in the installation. The ALI Configuration Manager on AIX requires the system administrator to create a self-signed certificate and the ALI Configuration Manager must be viewed with Firefox 1.5 or above, Firefox 2.X, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 (Issue #63287).

1. Install AquaLogic WSRP Consumer 1.1 on AIX.

2. Run the following from the command line to generate a certificate in the default directory. NOTE: It is necessary to use the "changeit" storepass and keypass. It is also necessary to use the default keystore specified below. These are the default values that the ALI Configuration Manager requires.

$PT_HOME/jre150/bin/keytool -genkey -alias tomcat -keyalg RSA -storepass changeit -keypass changeit -keystore "$PT_HOME/configmgr/1.0/security/.keystore" -dname "cn=$HOSTNAME"

3. Add the following context at the top of the $PT_HOME/configmgr/1.0/settings/config/private.xml file.

4. Add the following component to the $PT_HOME/configmgr/1.0/settings/config/private.xml file This instructs the embedded tomcat application server for the AquaLogic Configuration Manager to use the IBM security libraries.

5. View the AquaLogic Configuration Manager with Firefox 1.5 or above, Firefox 2.X, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 at https://:12345/cm/ui/cm.jsf.

Issues Addressed

AquaLogic WSRP Consumer is auto deployed into the embedded application server now. The wsrpproducer.war is not bundled with the AquaLogic WSRP Consumer (Issue #23691).
AquaLogic WSRP Consumer allows users to deploy standards based portlets to run on supported portal platforms (Issue #24175).
Deployment of the AquaLogic WSRP Consumer on WebLogic is not supported (Issue #23744).
userMethodGet() is now supported (Issue #23780).
WSRP standard Help and Edit modes are now supported (Issue #23899).
WSRP CSS styles are now supported (Issue #23907).
The WSRP Producer is no longer deployed with the AquaLogic WSRP Consumer (Issue #23907).

Version 1.0

Known Issues

Plumtree's WSRP Consumer allows you to deploy standards based portlets to run on Plumtree Portal version 4.5, 4.5WS and 5.0. Migration packages are provided for the 5.0 platform. (Issue #24175).
usesMethodGet() is not supported (Issue #23780).
WSRP css styles are not supported on 4.5 Portal (Issue #23692).
Plumtree RSS Portlet is not supported on Websphere (Issue #23907).
If a help or edit URL is provided in the Web Service, each portlet is assumed to support help and edit modes. If the URL is not valid, the portlet will display an error message (Issue #23899).
The auto deployment of wsrpconsumer.war and wsrpproducer.war is successful but the wsrp_install/appserver_deployment.log displays that only wsrpproducer.war has been deployed (Issue #23691).
Errors might display in the Weblogic startup console after uninstalling WSRP implementation if Weblogic is not shut down properly (Issue #23744).
