The help documentation, which you access from the Help button in the ALSM Management Console, is hosted on this web site, making the most recent version available to the Management Console with no action required on your part. We recommend that whenever possible you use the hosted documentation so that you are ensured of accessing the most up-to-date content. However, you can download a snapshot of the help and install it on your local machine.

To install the ALSM documentation on a local machine

1. Download the online help package from this site:
   • apsmshelp.war - online help without the ALSB proxy agent documentation
   • apsmshelp2.war - includes the ALSB proxy agent documentation (IMPORTANT: see Using ALSM with the Proxy Agent for additional instructions for using the Proxy Agent functionality with ALSM)
2. From the WebLogic Server Administration Console, delete the installed Web application module named apsmshelp.
3. From the WebLogic Server Administration Console, deploy a new Web application module using the WAR file you downloaded in Step 1.
4. Follow the instructions in To set the online help location for setting the local help.
