Creating an Exception Flow in a Process

  1. Create a new activity outside of your main process flow. This activity will be part of your exception flow. For some activity types, you must use control-click to add an activity outside of the main process flow.
  2. Right-click within you process and select Add Exception Transition To
  3. Select the Activity created above
  4. On the Description tab enter a name for the exception transition
  5. Select the Properties Tab.
  6. Choose an Exception Name from the drop-down list
  7. Choose an instance variable
  8. Click OK
