Directory Provider Selection

This page allows you to define general information about the Oracle BPM directory configuration including the database type and the Oracle BPM administrator user ID and password.
Option Description
Directory Configuration Name Specifies the name used to refer to this configuration within Admin Center.
Description Provides a useful description for the new directory service configuration.
Directory Provider Specifies the database driver for directory database.
Organization Provider Defines the type of external directory service provider. This option only appears if you have chosen to configure a hybrid directory service.
The following options are available:
  • Active Directory
  • Generic JNDI
  • Sample LDAP Service
  • Sun One LDAP
Note: If you are configuring WorkSpace Extensions, you must Generic JNDI as the Organization Provider.
BPM Administrator User Defines the BPM Administrator user ID. This user ID is used to login to Process Administrator. The Configuration Wizard creates this new user ID in the database along with the associated permissions. However, if you are configuring a hybrid directory configuration using LDAP, this user must already exist in your LDAP organization.

Note: When configuring AquaLogic Interaction integration using WorkSpace Extensions, this administrator ID must also be defined in the AquaLogic Integration Portal.
BPM Administrator Password Defines the BPM Administrator password.
Note: Once you have created your directory service configuration, you can change this passwords using the Admin Center.
