Adding a Transition

You add transitions in the process design editor. This task shows you how to add any type of transition, including unconditional transitions.

1. Click on the Add Transition icon ( ).
2. Click on the activity the transition will originate from.
3. Click on the activity the transition will flow to. An unconditional transition is added to the process diagram.
4. To change this transition into another type of transition, right-click on it and click Properties ( ). The Transition dialog box appears.
5. Enter a name for the transition in the Name field.
6. Click on the Properties tab. The Properties page appears.
7. Select a transition type from the drop-down list in the Type section. A section showing properties corresponding to the transition you selected type will appear.
8. Specify the data or options as required, and click OK. The transition is changed.

  You can add business rule transitions directly from the activity context menu in the process design editor.
• Adding a Conditional Transition
  You can add conditional transitions directly from the activity context menu.
• Adding a Due Transition
  You can a due transitions directly from the activity context menu in the process design editor.
