Editing a Directory Configuration

You can edit some settings for a directory configuration, such as the directory database provider properties and the directory service properties. You cannot change a database-only directory configuration to a database plus directory service configuration, or vice versa.

In order to edit a directory configuration, the BPM Web applications must be stopped.

To edit a Directory Configuration:

  1. Click on Configuration. The Configuration dialog box appears.
  2. In the Configuration dialog box, select the Directory tab. The list of configured directories is shown.
  3. Select the directory service configuration to edit and click Edit... . The Edit Directory Configuration dialog box appears.
  4. Click on Configuration. The Configuration dialog box appears.
  5. In the Configuration dialog box, select the Directory tab. The list of configured directories is shown.
  6. Select the directory service configuration to edit and click Edit... . The Edit Directory Configuration dialog box appears.
  7. If this directory configuration uses an external directory service, you can edit either the database properties or the directory service properties with the Configuration drop-down list. Select Directory Provider to edit database properties, and Organization Provider to edit the directory service properties. The desired property page will appear.
  8. Edit the properties as desired.
  9. Click OK. The new directory properties take effect.
