You can grab a work item to pull it from one activity and place it into a grab activity. Grabbed work items will remain in the selected grab activity until the user who grabbed it decides to process it, abort it, or send it back to the activity from which they grabbed it. Grabbing an work item is useful to prevent or alleviate a backlog of work items.
To grab a work item:
To display a list of work items, in the left pane, click a view name. Some WorkSpace configurations may have a special Grab view to display a list of work items that can be grabbed.
Do one of the following:
In the right pane, click the checkbox for the work item you want to grab, and then, in the Work Item toolbar, click the Grab Work Item button.
In the Description column, click the Grab Work Item button for the work item you want to grab.
If there are multiple activities that the work item can be moved to, select the target grab activity.
Note: The Grab Work Item button is only available if it was enabled for the activity in the process design. In addition, you must have sufficient privileges to grab the work item.
