Adding Attachments

Work items can contain file attachments that provide important information about the work item. Attachments can be viewed, edited, and checked in by participants who have the necessary access privileges.

To add an attachment to a work item:

  1. To display a list of work items, in the left pane, click a view name.

  2. In the right pane, click in the Description column for the work item to which you will add the attachment.

  3. In the Attachments section, click the New Attachment button.

  4. In the New Attachment dialog box, do the following:

Auto-detect

The file type is automatically detected.

Select from list

Choose a file type from the drop-down list.

Enter manually

Enter a file type in the box.
