Work items can contain file attachments that provide important information about the work item. Attachments can be viewed, edited, and checked in by participants who have the necessary access privileges.
To add an attachment to a work item:
To display a list of work items, in the left pane, click a view name.
In the right pane, click in the Description column for the work item to which you will add the attachment.
In the Attachments section, click the New Attachment button.
In the New Attachment dialog box, do the following:
To specify a file for the attachment, click Browse, select the file you want to attach, and click Open.
To specify the file type for the attachment, select Advanced options and set Content Type to one of the following options:

The file type is automatically detected. |

Select from list |
Choose a file type from the drop-down list. |
|
Enter manually |
Enter a file type in the box. |
Type a Description and any Remarks for the attachment.
Click OK. The attachment is displayed in the work item's list of attachments.
