Initiating a Process

Applications are used in WorkSpace to initiate business processes, which in turn generate work items.

To initiate a process:

  1. To display a list of available applications, in the left pane, click Applications.

  2. To run an application, in the right pane, click in the Description column for the application.

  3. When prompted, enter the required information for the process and submit it. The process generates a work item and sends it to the participant assigned the role for the first task.

Note: If you have configured the Show Applications option to display applications in the toolbar or menu, you can click the application icon to initiate its process.
