Generate a Batch Request

The batch request feature provides the ability to submit a batch request search query. Querying the archive database could take a long time because the archive database may contain a large amount of data. If the query is submitted as a batch request, the query will be performed in the background and the query results will be accessible through the link available in the notification email or the Query Status page.

To generate a batch request search query for archived instances:

  1. Set any required Filter Options and Conditions:

  1. In the right-hand column, select Batch Request and set the Batch Request properties:

    1.  E-mail - Enter the address of the person to be notified when the batch query is completed.

Note: The send properties of this e-mail must be set in the archiving.properties file found in the ptprocess\1.5\webapps\archivingviewer\WEB-INF directory: the sender address in the  fuego.archiving.mailFrom property, the SMTP server used to send the mail in the fuego.archiving.smtpServer property, and the URL to which the link will be established in the fuego.archiving.archivingURL property.

  1. Click Search. After clicking Search, the Query Status page will indicate the status of the search query.
