The batch request feature provides the ability to submit a batch request search query. Querying the archive database could take a long time because the archive database may contain a large amount of data. If the query is submitted as a batch request, the query will be performed in the background and the query results will be accessible through the link available in the notification email or the Query Status page.
To generate a batch request search query for archived instances:
Log in to the Archive Viewer.
On the Archive Viewer page, under Processes, select a [Search Inclusion Level] for each process:
None - This status is selected by default. If this option is selected, no archived instances for the process will be retrieved by the Archive Viewer search functionality.
All - Use this option to retrieve all instances for all versions of the process.
Select - Use this option to retrieve instances of a specific version of one of the listed processes. After choosing the [Select] option, which expands a list showing all of the archived versions of the process, select one or more of those versions.
Set any required Filter Options and Conditions:
Case-sensitive Matching - Select the checkbox to use case-sensitive matching on selected conditions.
Maximum amount of instances to retrieve - Indicate the maximum number of instances to retrieve from the search query.
Instances order - Choose Ascending or Descending to indicate the sort order for retrieved instances.
Sort instances by - Select a sort option for the search results.
Match all of the following - Select the checkbox to use Conditions.
Add Condition - To add a condition, select it from the drop-down list, click Add, and then configure the condition.
In the right-hand column, select Batch Request and set the Batch Request properties:
E-mail - Enter the address of the person to be notified when the batch query is completed.
Note: The send properties of this e-mail must be set in the archiving.properties file found in the ptprocess\1.5\webapps\archivingviewer\WEB-INF directory: the sender address in the fuego.archiving.mailFrom property, the SMTP server used to send the mail in the fuego.archiving.smtpServer property, and the URL to which the link will be established in the fuego.archiving.archivingURL property.
Query Description - Enter a description of the query.
Hours Until Expiration - Enter the number of hours the query results should remain available after the query is complete.
Click Search. After clicking Search, the Query Status page will indicate the status of the search query.
