To view the roles in Process Administrator:
In the left pane of Process Administrator, click Roles.
On the Roles page, each role contains a Name, Description, and Parametric setting.

Parallel |
Parallel roles are roles that can be assigned to groups of participants who perform the same activity in a process but have different business functions. For example, in a supply chain process, an order might be processed as an individual order or as a commercial order. The order would be processed in exactly the same way but individual orders might be handled by the individual sales group and commercial orders might be handled by the commercial sales group. When parallel roles are created in Process Designer, the activity performed by the parallel role is designed with a variable that determines which group will perform the activity at runtime. Parallel roles must be created in Process Administrator before they can be assigned to participants. Parallel roles can be created automatically when they are imported with a project file or they can be created manually in Process Administrator and then mapped to abstract project roles during project publication. |
