Publish and Deploy a Project

Note: These instructions are for publishing and deploying a process at the same time. It is possible to publish projects and then deploy them at a later time, in two separate procedures. These methods are described in separate help topics.

To publish and deploy a project on a process execution engine:

    1. In the left pane of the Process Administrator, select Projects.

    2. On the Published Projects page, click Publish.

    3. On the Published Projects | Publication Source page, select the Publication Source for the project.

The Publication Source options are:

Note: Before publishing a project, export the project from Studio or Designer. While exporting the project,  select the Include Versionable Libraries Only option. If the project includes non-versionable libraries, copy the non-versionable libraries to the following directories:bea\albpm5.7\enterprise\webapps\webconsole\WEB-INF\lib, \bea\albpm5.7\enterprise\ext, and \bea\albpm5.7\enterprise\webapps\portal\WEB-INF\lib, assuming the default directories were accepted during installation.

    1. Select the Publication Properties for the project.

    2. Select the Deployment Properties for the project.

    3. Click OK.

    4. On the Published Projects | Publication Source | Publish Process page, make sure the mapping is complete and click Publish.

    5. On the Published Projects | Publication Source | Publish Process | Deploy page, configure the Deployment Topology.

    6. Click OK.

Note: Deploying a project for ALBPM J2EE requires additional steps, which includes configuring the application server, starting the deployer, and installing and starting the EAR files.
