Service endpoints are objects through which AquaLogic BPM can connect and interact with external resources such as web services, databases, or server configurations. You use the Service Endpoints | Add Service Endpoint page to create and configure these external resources for use with AquaLogic BPM.
When you create a service endpoint, you are configuring the connection parameters for connecting to the external resource. Bear in mind that, when you are creating a service endpoint, no connection is established with the external resource at that time.
Note. Designers may configure service endpoints in ALBPM Studio for testing purposes when they design a project. When the project is moved from a development environment to a production environment, use the pages discussed in this section to review and re-configure the service endpoints to work in the new environment.
