Application server files are required to deploy an ALBPM project to the WebSphere application server. The application server files are stored as either EAR or WAR archives, which must be downloaded, installed, and started.
To install and start the EAR files:
In the left pane of the Process Administrator, click Engines.
In the right pane, on the Engines page, click the engine Name.
On the Engines | Edit Engines page, click J2EE Application Server Files (EARs, WARs).
To install and start the engine EAR:
Click the Create EAR icon next to BEA AquaLogic BPM Engine Ear. The engine EAR file (eng-engine-name.ear) appears with a yellow indicator, signifying it is not installed.
Click the Install Engine EAR icon to the right of the engine EAR file. The indicator turns red, signifying it is stopped.
In the IBM WebSphere webconsole, navigate to the deployed engine and change the class loader policy from Module to Application. Restart the application server.
In the AquaLogic BPM Process Administrator, click the Start Engine icon to the right of the engine EAR file. The indicator turns green, signifying it has started.
To install and start the WorkSpace EAR:
Click the Create WAR and EAR icon next to BEA AquaLogic BPM WorkSpace WAR. The WorkSpace EAR file (portal-directory-name-websphere.ear) appears with a yellow indicator, signifying it is not installed.
Click the Install WorkSpace EAR icon to the right of the WorkSpace EAR file. The indicator turns red, signifying it is stopped.
Click the Start WorkSpace icon to the right of the WorkSpace EAR file. The indicator turns green, signifying it has started.
To install and start the WorkSpace Administrator EAR:
Note: This is unnecessary when installing ALBPM Workspace Extensions.
Click the Create WAR and EAR icon next to BEA AquaLogic BPM WorkSpace Administrator WAR. The WorkSpace Administrator EAR file (portaladmin-directory-name-websphere.ear) appears with a yellow indicator, signifying it is not installed.
Click the Install WorkSpace Administrator EAR icon to the right of the WorkSpace Administrator EAR file. The indicator turns red, signifying it is stopped.
Click the Start WorkSpace Administrator icon to the right of the WorkSpace Administrator EAR file. The indicator turns green, signifying it has started.
To install and start the project EAR:
Click the Create EAR Project icon next to project file. The project EAR file appears with a yellow indicator, signifying it is not installed.
Click the Install EAR Project icon to the right of the project EAR file. The indicator turns red, signifying it is stopped.
Click the Start EAR Project icon to the right of the project EAR file. The indicator turns green, signifying it has started.
