Configure a WebLogic Domain

WebLogic Server domains host Managed Servers, which in turn host the business applications that are deployed from the Process Administrator. In addition, WebLogic Server domains also host an Administration Console that configures and monitors the Managed Servers.

To configure a WebLogic Server domain:

  1. After installing WebLogic, choose Start | All Programs | BEA | Tools | Configuration Wizard.

  2. On the Welcome screen, select Create a new WebLogic domain and click Next.

  3. On the Select Domain Source screen, select Generate a domain configured automatically to support the following BEA products. Leave the option for Workshop for WebLogic Platform deselected and click Next.

  4. On the Configure Administrator Username and Password screen, enter a User name, User password, and Description for the domain, and then click Next.

  5. On the Configure Server Start Mode and JDK screen, do the following:

  6. On the Customize Environment and Services Settings screen, select Yes and then click Next.

  7. On the Configure the Administration Server screen, enter a domain Name (such as myServer), Listen address, and Listen port, and then click Next.

  8. On the Configure Managed Servers screen, click Next.

  9. On the Configure Machines screen, click Next.

  10. On the Review WebLogic Domain screen, click Next.

  11. On the Create WebLogic Domain screen, enter a Domain name (such as myDomain) and Domain location, and then click Create.

  12. On the Creating Domain screen, after the domain has been created, click Done.
