Cluster J2EE Process Execution Engines

Clustering AquaLogic BPM J2EE Process Execution Engines involves configuring the engine to generate EAR files for clustering, and then deploying those EAR files to an application server cluster.

The following instructions are supplemental to the main process for deploying a Process Execution Engine to an application server, and must be done while following the application server specific procedure.

  1. Configure the engine to support clustering. When following the steps to Configure the Engine Application Server Properties, specify a Cluster name in the Application Server or Cluster Name text box.

For WebLogic, see Configure Engine Application Server Properties.

For WebSphere, see Configure Engine Application Server Properties.

  2. Deploy the Engine Deployer to a cluster.

For instructions on deploying the WebLogic Deployer, see Install and Start the WebLogic Deployer.

For instructions on deploying the WebSphere Deployer, see Install and Start the WebSphere Deployer.
