Oracle Database

Basic Settings

From the basic settings tab specify the server information and credentials required to connect to the Oracle database.

Setting

Description

Database Host

The host name or IP address of the Oracle database server.

Database Port

The port on the database host that Oracle is listening to.

Organization Logical Name

The organization within AquaLogic BPM this directory will belong to. This can be any string.

Administrator User

A user with administrator access to Oracle. This user must have permissions necessary to create a new schema.

Schema Name

  • When creating a new directory, enter a name for the schema to be created.

  • When adding an existing directory, enter the name for the schema already created.

Schema Password/Confirm Password

The password for the schema.

SID

The SID for the Oracle database.

Specify JDBC URL

Check this box to enter a JDBC URL instead of Database Host, Database Port, and SID.

JDBC URL

When the Specify JDBC URL is checked, enter the JDBC URL for the Oracle database.

Advanced Settings

From the advanced settings tab the AquaLogic BPM administrative user can be specified. If no administrative user is specified in the advanced settings when creating a new directory, the database administrator user will be used.

Important: When adding an existing directory, the same administrative user specified when the directory was created must be entered.

Administrator ID

  • When creating a new directory, enter a name for the administrative user to be created.

  • When adding an existing directory, enter the name of the administrative user that was specified when the directory was created.

Administrator Password/Confirm Password

The password for the administrative user.
