IBM DB2 Database

Basic Settings

From the basic settings tab specify the server information and credentials required to connect to the DB2 database.

DB2 JDBC Type 2

Note: When connecting to DB2 with the Type 2 JDBC driver, the DB2 Client must be installed on the same server as the AquaLogic BPM Enterprise product.

Setting

Description

Organization Logical Name

The organization within AquaLogic BPM this directory will belong to. This can be any string.

Administrator User

A user with administrator access to DB2. This user must have permissions necessary to create a new schema.

Administrator Password

The password for the administrator user.

Schema Name

  • When creating a new directory, enter a name for the schema to be created.

  • When adding an existing directory, enter the name of the schema already created.

Database

  • When creating a new directory, enter the name of the database where the schema will be created.

  • When adding an existing directory, enter the name of the database already created.

DB2 JDBC Type 4

Setting

Description

Database Host

The host name or IP address of the DB2 database server.

Database Port

The port on the database host that DB2 is listening to.

Organization Logical Name

The organization within AquaLogic BPM this directory will belong to. This can be any string.

Administrator User

A user with administrator access to DB2. This user must have permissions necessary to create a new schema.

Administrator Password

The password of the administrator user.

Schema Name

  • When creating a new directory, enter a name for the schema to be created.

  • When adding an existing directory, enter the name of the schema already created.

 

Database

  • When creating a new directory, enter the name of the database where the schema will be created.

  • When adding an existing directory, enter the name of the database already created.

Advanced Settings

From the advanced settings tab the AquaLogic BPM administrative user can be specified. If no administrative user is specified in the advanced settings when creating a new directory, the database administrator user will be used.

Important: When adding an existing directory, the same administrative user specified when the directory was created must be entered.

Setting

Description

Administrator ID

  • When creating a new directory, enter a name for the administrative user to be created.

  • When adding an existing directory, enter the name of the administrative user that was specified when the directory was created.

Administrator Password/Confirm Password

The password for the administrative user.
