Create a New Directory

 To create a new AquaLogic BPM directory:
  1. Open the Configuration Utility. From the AquaLogic BPM Enterprise Admin Center click Configuration.
  2. Click Add...
  3. Select the Create New Directory radio button. Click OK.
  4. Name the directory by typing a name into the Directory ID field.
  5. From the provider drop-down choose a database or LDAP server.

    Note
    : Ensure that the JDBC driver type is appropriate for the database you are connecting to. For more information on supported drivers and databases, see the Interoperability Matrix on Product Center.
  6. Complete the server and credential information for the backend system selected.

    For more details on settings specific to supported backend systems, see the following sections:
  1. When configuring an AquaLogic BPM directory on a database system, the Configuration Utility can update the database directly, or a SQL script can be generated to update the database manually.

    To update the database manually, check the box next to Create SQL Script.
  2. Click Start.
The Configuration Utility will confirm a successfully created directory.
