When a new version of a project is deployed, the previous version is depecrated. Once a project has been depecrated, no new instances can be generated, and any existing instances will continue to be processed until they have completed, at which point the project will be automatically undeployed.
Projects can be manually deprecated if you want to undeploy it without losing any instances that are still being processed.
To deprecate a project:
In the left pane of the Process Administrator, click Projects.
In the right pane, on the Published Projects pane, click in the Deployment column for the project you want to undeploy. The status for deployed projects should say Completely deployed.
On the Published Projects | Deploy page, do one of the following:
To deprecate all processes in the project, click Deprecate.
To deprecate only some of the processes in the project, click Update.
Configure the Deployment Topology:
To deprecate a process, set the Action drop-down list to Deprecate.
To archive a process, select Enable Archiving.
Click OK.
