Testing Remote Deployment

Starting the Business Components Browser

Return to BCED to test the remote deployment your business components:

1. In the Navigation pane, select the Application Module for your project.

2. Select the Object | Test menu item.

3. BCED displays a message box to remind you to run make on your packages and deploy your business components. Click OK to dismiss the message box.

4. The Business Components Browser - Connect panel displays. It will be set to the appropriate options for running in local mode. Change the following options for remote deployment:

   • Middle Tier Server Type can be set to Visibroker, Oracle8i, EJB, or OAS.

   • The JDBC Connection field should be set to the appropriate connection as defined in the previous section.

   Click Connect to load the Application Module and connect to the database. (If the Password Required dialog box opens, enter your password and click OK.)

5. The Business Components Browser opens.
