BEA AquaLogic Data Services Platform 2.0

formerly BEA Liquid Data for WebLogic 8.5

..*** NEW *** ALDSP is now certified on the IBM AIX 5.3 platform.

DSP is a service-oriented solution that enables enterprise information to be delivered and accessed as data services. Using data services, organizations can deliver information in units that correspond to the logical business entities relevant to their domain, such as customers, orders, or products.

Data services encapsulate the logic for reading, writing, and transforming the information that composes the entity, insulating data consumers from having to contend with multiple data source formats and connection mechanisms.

DSP provides the tools and frameworks needed to rapidly develop and deploy data services. A wide variety of client application types can access deployed data service functions.

Note: BEA AquaLogic Data Services Platform™ is the new name of BEA Liquid Data for WebLogic®. The documentation for this 2.0.1 service pack release generally uses the name Data Services Platform (DSP).
