Downloading and Using the Siebel Bookshelf

After you download the Siebel Bookshelf, you can install it on a client computer for local access or on a server for multiuser network access, as permitted under the applicable Siebel Systems software license agreement.

The download file is provided as a compressed (.zip) file (SeblBkshlf_70xMME_MonthYY.zip). The download file extracts into a root folder named SiebelBookshelf.

To download a Siebel Bookshelf

1. If you are not viewing this page on SupportWeb, do the following:
   1. Go to Siebel SupportWeb and log in using the email address and password given to you by Siebel Support Services.
      If you do not have this information, contact Support Services at support@siebel.com.
   2. Under Self Service, click Browse/Search Knowledge Base.
2. In the SupportWeb window, in the left pane, click Product Documentation.
3. At the Product Documentation page, click Siebel Bookshelf.
4. At the Siebel Bookshelf page, click the download link for the version you want to download, save the compressed file, and extract it.

If you download and extract this edition of the Bookshelf, the following folder structure is created: SiebelBookshelf/70xMMEMonthYY/

To launch the Siebel Bookshelf

• Navigate to SiebelBookshelf/70xMMEMonthYY/ and launch homepage.htm in your Web browser.

To launch the Siebel Bookshelf and use PDF search

1. Navigate to SiebelBookshelf/70xMMEMonthYY/PDFFiles/ and launch Homepage.pdf in Adobe Acrobat.
2. Click Search.

Note: You must have Acrobat Reader with Search to use the search function in Adobe Acrobat. You can download Acrobat Reader with Search from www.adobe.com.
